| The widest, freshest, cheapest variety of produce available perhaps in anywhere in California along with great cheese, a bulk section, and prepared foods make the Bowl a place that people move to Berkeley just to be near by. |

| The famous old cheese cooperative with the best pizza in the bay area, across the street from Chez Panisse in the Gourmet Ghetto of North Berkeley. Huge selection of cheeses and the cooperative owners are experts. You taste each cheese before buying. Scones and baguettes to die for. |

3. Scharffen Berger Chocolate Factory
| North America's finest producer of dark chocolates has a tour, a cafe, and a nice store. |
4. Ferry Building Marketplace
| All of the best artisan food producers in one location. I consider this the new highlight of San Francisco. Farmer's market is Saturday morning and makes you realize how much we've become like Europe, in enjoying the good life. |

7. Dana Street Roasting Co
| Mostly known by locals, this cafe roasts incredible beans and has lattes I go out of my way for. It's off the Moffett exit on 101 if you are passing by. |

| Huge selection of cheeses from around the world at prices lower than Costco, Trader or anywhere else. A 25+ year old open European market with a great selection of produce. Very cheap Guittard blocks of chocolate. All the best for a picnic or epicurean feast. This is an unknown gem right in the middle of silicon valley. |
