One fun filled day in Spokane Washington with my four kids...

Four kids ranging in age from 5 to 12. Two Adults. (the numbers don't look good already) Limited funds to fill an entire day. And I really don't want to spend all day saying "no."

1. Doubletree Hotel Spokane-City Center

Ave price: $147
This hotel will be more family friendly once the pool is complete. This hotel is in easy walking distance to the Riverfront Park. Took us all of 4 minutes down the paved walkway to reach all the FUN.

Easy access meant we could come and go all day long between the hotel, restaurants, and park. This was especially nice when I needed a new tape for the video camera and it was sitting in the hotel room.
100 acre park in downtown Spokane located on the site of Expo '74 World's Fair.
Fun to do includes: *Gondola *IMAX Theatre * Ice Palace * Clock Tower * Rides *Red Wagon-

Not to be missed -Carrousel at the front of the park. My kids AND husband rode it at least 10 times. (You get to grab for rings and toss them into a clown mouth!)

Insider tip- SUMMER DAY PASS IS $12.99 PER PERSON. The Imax film alone is $7.75 so this is a super deal. The kids went on the rides they wanted, as many times as they wanted, and I never had to say no!
Yes, somewhat of a "PUB" style restaurant. But that's what makes it super fun for the kids. Loaded with sports memorabilia and ESPN is on at least 2 of the many TV's.

Not to mention... the AWESOME BBQ..... and fried bread... I didn't know they fried bread... but they do... and it is DELICIOUS!!!
4. Sonic America's Drive-In
What's not to love about Sonic? They serve the full menu all day long. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus all their wonderful drinks! And yes! they have Kid packs..

I recommend a toaster sandwich, tots, and a cherry limeaid. Or a coney dog... Or a super sonic breakfast burrito..... or popcorn chicken.. oh, go ahead and order one of everything. :)

My kids LOVE the carhops on rollarskates. They dig sitting outside and listening to "Sonic Radio." And they like the slushes -all flavors!
