Located directly in front of Frank Gehry's famous Peix, this luxury hotel offers some breathtaking views of the surrounding Olympic Port area and Barceloneta beach. The hotel is located just outside the city center, but the metro is very close by and its distance from the main action makes the hotel a peaceful place to rest. |

2. National Art Museum of Catalonia
| Home to a wide range of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque artwork, this museum is a must see for art lovers. The extensive collection of paintings, carvings, sculptures, metalwork, and enamels dates from Medieval days to the 19th century. The museum also exhibits the largest collection of Catalán art in Spain. |

| Nearly four thousand pieces of art by the celebrated artist Pablo Picasso, including paintings, sculptures and drawings, are housed in this museum dedicated to his work. |

| This pedestrian-only promenade in the Gothic Quarter is bustling with hundreds of stalls, restaurants, bars, cafés, street performers and passers by. This is a great place to grab a bite for lunch or a cool drink to relax, but watch your wallet! There may be thieves about. |

| The façade of this Antoni Gaudi building boasts skull-like balconies and pillars resembling bones. One of two astounding Gaudi structures along the Passeig de Gracia, Casa Batllo is inspired by St. George’s dragon and by the colors and shapes of coral and other marine life. |

| Further along the Passeig de Gracia stands La Pedreda, known also as Casa Mila. With irregularly shaped apartments inside and nary a straight edge to be found on its exterior, the structure is one of Gaudi’s most eccentric and enticing architectural creations. Tours of the interior and the incredible roof structures are available. |

| This area, home to artists and political intellectuals of all sorts, is a perfect place to dine, have a drink and people watch. The Placa del Sol is a lively square that hosts a variety of exciting nightlife. |
