  • 1. Cuernavaca
    Cuernavaca

Spent a month studying Spanish and walking everywhere...wonderful!

  • 2. Playa del Carmen
    Playa del Carmen

A wonderful place to wander, shop, and eat!

  • 3. Todos Santos
    Todos Santos

Worth the drive from Los Cabos (about one hour north of San Lucas). A village of art galleries, shops, and excellent small eateries, Mexican and other.

  • 4. Galeria de Todos Santos
    Todos Santos

A small intimate dinner in an art gallery with wonderful hosts.

  • 5. Cabo San Lucas
    Cabo San Lucas

The part of CSL closest to the bay is touristy, with the usual array of chain restaurants (and a few locals) and stores. Walking straight north gets you into the Mexican part of the town. Many small taquerias, restaurants, and shops. Very much worth the walk. We also recommend the glass-bottom boat tour just to get a perspective and a little history.

  • 6. Puerta Vieja Restaurant bar
Puerta Vieja Restaurant/Bar Los Cabos, Cabo San Lucas

At KM 6.1 on the Transpeninsular Hwy. A great menu of Mexican cuisine well prepared and attentively presented. The patio in the evening looking out over the Bay only adds to the experience. A place we use to unwind as we prepare to go home.
