    Millau, Aveyron

Millau lies in a valley and as you drive down into it you can feel the heat rising. There usedto be a jazz festival held there. It's only about 80 miles from the Mediterranean Coast which is easily done on a day trip. A very pleasant place and the new bridge must be something to see

  • 2. Carcassonne
    Carcassonne, Aude

An ancient walled city very interesting.

  • 3. Monet's House and Garden at Giverney, France

The home of the artist Claude Monet

  • 4. Versailles, France

The Palace of Versailles is here, the buildings and the gardens are well worth a visit. Many will have seen pictures of it without realising how big it is

  • 5. Laon
    Laon, Aisne

Laon was the capital of France until the 10th century and has a13th century cathedral

  • 6. Sydney
    Sydney, New South Wales

A pleasant cjty and there is lots to see. Catch a ferry to the beach at Manley or go to Watson's Bay. Not too far are the Blue Mountains. Very good for shopping and not forgetting the Opera House and Sidney Harbour Bridge

  • 7. San Antonio
    San Antonio, Texas

The site of the Mission Church where the famous battle of the Alamo took place. Although in San Antonio inside the Mission it is quiet and peaceful.
