| A great guesthouse perched high on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Ocean and the islands of Redondo and Antigua. Run by the Lea Family, who have brought the best of "old Key West" (where they used to live) to Montserrat. No rental car needed - just catch a ride with a Lea family member to get whatever you need. David Lea is probably the best tour guide on the island. Dine with the family at night for great food and very interesting, intelligent, wide-ranging discussions. Great tropical breezes, great views, lush tropical surroundings including various fruit trees and flowers - just very nice and incredibly affordable. |

2. The People's Place
| This is a tiny eatery where local Montserratians flock to get wonderful meals to take home to eat, or eat in (although the dining room is very small). Definitely try the Roti for an incredibly delicious Caribbean taste treat. They also do chicken dinners, curried turkey, fish dinners, goatwater (a local stew) - the choices vary each day and you have to go early (around 11am-12) before they sell out, but it is well worth it and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food! Not gourmet dining, but absolutely delicious! |

3. Tina's Restaurant

| A great little dinner restaurant in Montserrat. Very friendly service, dining indoors or outdoors, great food, relaxing atmosphere. Well worth visiting more than once. |

4. Montserrat Volcano Observatory
| A very interesting scientific center for learning about the Mt. Soufrierre volcano. You can view the volcano, watch the scientists from around the world at work, see all the various instruments recording everything. A very interesting and educational place to visit. Be sure to buy some of the T-shirts and souvenirs |

5. Arrow's
| A great variety store owned by the internationally-renowned Caribbean musician Arrow. Buy music, movie DVDs, blank CDs and DVDs, wonderful Montserrat souvenirs, comfortable sandals and other shoes and clothes, and a wide variety of other items. Arrow is often there and will autograph an Arrow CD for you if asked - he is very friendly and down-to-earth and his music is wonderfully upbeat and entertaining. |
