Surfing Jeffreys Bay with Global Surf Adventures

13 May 2013  To revisit and surf J Bay again as soon as possible
4.5 of 5 stars based on 3 votes

THE most amazing place to surf! Clean peeling waves, surfing with dolphins at dawn whilst watching the best sunrises ever! We had the best surf of our lives and most definitely one of the best holidays ever!
We are going back to J Bay with Global surf because we had the best time ever with them! Taxi transfers and the trip to Addo Elephant Reserve were included in the price too. The organisation of our wedding vow ceremony by Lauren (and the Surfing minister and Dave), couldn't have been better and the weather was lovely to boot. This was our second trip with Global Surf. They organise superb surf trips and it?s money well spent. The house where we stayed (20 yards from the beach), was beautiful and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep in the evening and gently woke us in the morning! Can?t ask for anything more serene! Well done Dan and Lauren at Global Surf Adventures. Just to add, cost of living was very good, the price of food and drinks was cheap (eg two starters, three main and two desserts plus six drinks less than 30 GBP). The food portions are generally bigger than the average UK portion, so all in all great value for money to eat out. There are plenty of supermarkets for self catering if preferred, but to be honest, after two surf sessions a day, eating out was much easier. Hire cars are available and needed if you want to travel to other destinations- there are lots of attractions within a couple of hours drive and the roads are never too busy. On the plus side they drive on the same side as we do in the UK -big bonus! Petrol stations are in abundance in J Bay and most large villages /small towns. Think we travelled about 350km on less than 10GBP petrol.
