Traveling to Washington DC on business doesn't mean you need to get stuck on the train or plane - make it a road trip. Once in DC, don't get stuck in the hotel watching "OnDemand" movies, there are lots of quick things to do in the evening that won't break your travel budget.

Great hotel - usually has lots of last minute deals and cheaper than any of the downtown DC hotels. Lots of business amenities, but family friendly too! Out of the way, but not too far from the Vienna train station to get you into downtown DC.
7. National Zoo Washington DC
This is a free zoo. You can walk right in off the street. It is in the Wardman Park area of Washington DC easy to get to from the metro train station
