In six days in Amsterdam, we tried to see as many of the tourist sites as we could ... but also chill and come back relaxed and refreshed!

1. National Museum (Rijksmuseum)

Although it is under construction, well worth a look to see some of the highlights of the collection.
2. Van Gogh Museum

Not only is the van Gogh collection unparalleled, the current exhibit on Rembrant and van Gogh was fascinating and made me appreciate the masters in a whole new way.
3. Anne Frank House (Anne Frankhuis)

A chilling and eye-opening reminder of how lucky I am as a Canadian to live in a place where I can celebrate my family's history and culture.
4. Amnesia Cafe
Coffeehouse with amazing atmosphere ... very welcoming and knowledgeable staff.
5. Centraal Station
Centraal Station, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland
A pleasurable place to see at the start and end of each trip.
6. Dam Square
