St Louis is not dead!
This is possibly the best museum in the United States. If you are an adult that never got to jump in a pool of balls, likes fear factor style challenges, enjoys jazz and art, loves history, and wants to see a museum that is for kids and adults alike! Visit this place. It is so interesting it is hard to decribe. Better than a theme park in my opinion, because it makes you think and explore. You will find yourself trying to fit in holes you never though you could fit in, climbing higher over the earth through wire cages, then you ever though you would, and sliding down great slides. Also there are secret soda shops, bars and restarants hidden through that will put you in a time warp. The museum is open LATE too, so you can also just go for a beer and music.
This is a nice Botanic garden with a gorgeous glass museum featuring tropic plants and some insects. I visited int he fall and their were still flowers all over the grounds and the fall color was wonderful. Spend a day wandering, bring a picnic lunch, dabble fingers in the pools.
This park is loaded with Museums and things to do. It is another place that is impressive to tour by night in a car. The huge historic houses skirting the park are lit up with lights and so are the museums. If there is an event (like the wine festival!) be sure to spend a day in the park.
Historic theatre with interesting art films. Worth seeing something here for the full experience
