  • 1. Port Aransas
    Port Aransas

You have got to walk and play on the beaches. Heck you can even drive on them. The long leisurely walks at sunrise and sunset are just breath taking !! If you don't own/bring a boogey board go buy one and enjoy the waves, a ton of fun !!

  • 2. Sea Gull Condominiums
    Sea Gull Condominiums, Port Aransas

Fantastic place to stay, room #201 is a 3 bedroom corner unit with a view of the gulf on one side and the pool on the other. Everything you need is there except for food. Fully furnished and extremely large and comfortable. Easy beach and pool acess. VCR in every room, DVD player in the main living room along with a CD player. The twin over full bunk beds in the third bedroom are really nice for kids. Staff was great and the DSL direct wired adaptor available at the front desk works very well for those who can't live without the internet. Condo was spotless when we arrived and the grounds are very well maintained.

  • 3. bug spray

mosquitoes may or may not be a problem, but it's always better to be prepared.

  • 4. Sun Screen

You don't really need me to tell you to take sun screen do you ? Bring sun burn ointment/lotion/potion as well.

  • 5. Beach Towels

Take some of your own as their might not be enough where you're staying.

  • 6. Ipod or MP3 player

If you like portable music bring your own and enjoy lazing around the pool or on the beach and take a lot of long enjoyable walks on the beach early in the morning and late in the evening.

  • 7. Camera

Bring your camera(s). Whether standard, digital or camcorder you'll want to take a lot of pictures and video.

  • 8. Food & Beverages

Bring what you like and enjoy what you bring. There is a small grocery store in town but it's very pricey. Better grocery shopping with cheaper prices in Corpus Christi at the HEB stores.

  • 9. Sandals/Shoes

The boardwalk is very hot during the day so make sure you wear something on your feet for walking across the boadwalk. Flip flops are great because you always need to wash the sand off before going back into the condos.

  • 10. Sunglasses

Always bring an extra pair or two !!

  • 11. Cap/Hat

Make sure you bring a cap or hat (bring an extra as well).

  • 12. Fishing Gear

Bring your own or rent if you want to surf fish. Lot's of folks do it and it's a lot of run !!

  • 13. Shopping

Lots of souvenier shopping in town along with one grocery store and several liquor stores. If you want a mall or larger shopping areas go to Corpus Chrisit.

  • 14. Hooks

Food is excellent but the service left a lot to be desired.

  • 15. Fins

Fantastic place to eat. Food is great with a nice selection. Service is excellent and you have a waterfront view. They will also cook your cleaned catch for you.

  • 16. La Playa Mexican Grille
La Playa Mexican Grille, Port Aransas

This is a fantabulous place to eat. Food and service are out this world. We took our cleaned catch and hat it cooked both blackened and grilled. Best meal we ate in Port Aransas !!

  • 17. Ferry

Take the short ferry ride at least once, you could see dolphins although we didn't. It's still a treat for the kids.

  • 18. Fishing Trip

Take a fishing trip either to the gulf or in the bay. Lots of guides and boats and usually plenty of room and there's always plenty of fish. We chartered C&T Bay Charters out of Woody's and had a good 1/2 day morning trip with lots of speckled trout caught and a nice kingfish caught while trolling.

  • 19. Seafood & Spaghetti Works
Seafood & Spaghetti Works, Port Aransas

Great food, great service and the best deserts on the island. They are home made and the bread pudding is some of the best I've ever eaten. Heck just go for the desert if nothing else.

  • 20. Texas State Aquarium
    Texas State Aquarium, Corpus Christi

I personaly was disappointed but my grand daughter loved the dolphin show and loved the other exhibits. I think even with the 1.00 of discount coupon we had it was overpriced for what was presented.

  • 21. Hooters
    Hooters, Corpus Christi

For those of you who do enjoy the food at Hooters, there is one in Corpus and it's pretty much standard Hooter's fare.
