Skye contains some stunning places for walks - high and low - these are just a few of my favourites

1. Bruich na Frithe - on the main cuillin ridge
This is a really stunning walk - which gives amazing views of the Cuillin ridge - it is not a rock climb although gets into really impressive mountains - definitely needs walking shoes or boots - and not one for a misty day - but on the right day it is amazing.
2. Portree to Sithean Bhealaich Chumhaing
I think Ann Bowker's picture in the link says it all - views don't get much better than this.

You start the walk at portree, head out along the bay past the black rock and battery green - then up a nice path to just north of Torvaig - then head up the hill (Sithean Bhealaich Chumhaing) - for amazing views - and head back down via Torvaig, to emerge beside the Cuillin Hills hotel - perhaps to reward yourself with a beer or bar meal?
This is a very unusual landscape - and quite atmospheric place - especially when the mist is down. Apparently its all due to the erosion of the lavas that covered Skye millions of years ago.
Definitely a family friendly walk - to a lovely beach with coral and the chance to swim with the seals..
Just a short walk - this hill within Portree itself has great views - you can either walk around the outside, or take a path into the middle. If you go there when the highland games is on, it will be transformed!
6. The beach at the storr hydro power station
A walk down to a lovely remote beach, with amazing fossils in the rocks - lovely and remote.
