Jerusalem's most chic hotel. Fantastic service, great location, family friendly. Good for socialising.
I'm not Jewish, but I still had to go and see this amazing site. It's part of the al-Haram al-Sharif compound. For history and culture it's a good place to visit. Only needs about half an hour.
Their modern art section is hilarious. The museum also houses the dead sea scrolls. Well worth spending half a day here.
You can't visit Jerusalem without spenidng a few hours walking the streets of the Christian, Jewish, Armenian and Muslim quarters of the Old City. Full of history and culture. People are friendly and you can get all those souvenirs for home.
For a small fee you can climb the stairs, or take the lift, to the top of the YMCA tower. Spectacular 360 degree views around Jerusalem. You can see as far as Bethlehem and beyond.
Just 45 minutes drive from Jerusalem is the Dead Sea. Here you can sit on a beach at En Gedi and soak up the sun; and then read a book while floating in the sea. A truly unique experience. There's nowhere else like this in the world. Reports say that the dead sea is disappearing (evaporating too quickly) and may not be there in 10 years. So visit while you have the chance!
