Reviews on the tours that I took

  • 1. Jeep safari

Definately the best trip. There is 4/5 in a jeep and you can drive or someone else or a tour guide. It helps if you have your license but not nessecary. First you drive up a corkscrew hill that brings you above Cavtat. Views are unbelievable. Then you drive thorugh vineyards and rivers and bumpy roads passing unbelievable scenery all the way. There is plenty of stops along the way. Youi stop at a sandy!! beach (its tiny) to do some swimming for an hour which is probably the worst part. Then to finish it off you are brought to there family home You are shown how they cook the food under the bell and given dried figs and grappa .They then give you lots (and I mean lots) of food. Starting with homegrown salad, the homemade soup and then food under the bell which was delicious. Finished off with melon. On the table is homemade ornage juice, red wine and rose wine. You are shown how they cook the food under the bell and given dried figs and grappa. As soon as something is nearly empty they replace it. Then it is home time for about 3 O clock

  • 2. Medugorje and Moster

Early start for this one and lots of border crossings. Medugorje is very tacky with lots of gift stores although it was nice to see it and hear a bit about the story.
Moster is very interesting learning about the history. Both were worth the 3 hour journey.

  • 3. Canoe Safari

Was supposed to be in montenegro but was in Bosnia instead for some reason which meant doing the same 3 hour trip again which was a bit boring. If you go with some one else great if not try and go in a canoe with an instructor as I was put with this guy who had not a clue. If you are an experienced canoeist this will probably be a bit boring. You have to stop as you get to the rapids so it is quite slow and right. YOu stop for a swim half way through but the water was freezing. At the end you get lovely food chicken under the bell and salads. You will get wet. Of all three tours I did this was probably the worst.
