1. Gale River Motel and Cottages
Great family run motel featuring picnic area, playground, Jacuzzi, centrally located to everything and very reasonably priced
Paying homage to the annual blossoming of this captivating wildflower, the Fields of Lupine Festival is a time-honored regional event. A quintessential spring bloom with brilliant spiking flower heads, the lupine carpets local fields and pastures in a rolling sea of vibrant purples, pinks and blues. Ideal for cutting, the long-lasting blossoms attract equally dazzling butterflies and create a breathtaking floral display against the majestic backdrop of the Franconia, Presidential and Kinsman Mountain ranges. Runs from June 9th - 25th

3. Franconia Notch State Park
Cannon Mt. Tramway opens May 27th....Flume Gorge opens May 6th...Must see attractions...skip the Basin and Boise Rock...not much there to get wow'ed by...Some great little hikes can be had along the recreation trail and at the head of the Notch from Echo Lake parking lot...Artist's Bluff...
4. Littleton
Great little downtown for boutique like shopping without the out-of-control prices and traffic of other more well-known NH Main Street towns...(Portsmouth, Conway)...free off-street parking can easily be found along Canal Street or behind the Jax Movie Theater. Must see, Chutters (Guiness World Book Longest Candy Counter), Alakayi, and Village Book Store (upstairs books, downstairs toys, puzzles, and children's section - awesome)
