Beautiful garden with good view of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Walk along the water towards the navy base in the morning. You will get a very good picture of both structures with water at one of the points. Check out the flying foxes hanging on the tree too.
Take a tour inside. Make sure to ask if the tour will include the main concert hall. The concert hall may have rehearsals which tourists can't enter. The walkway along the opera bar close to Circular Quay is the best place to take pictures of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney cityscapes at night.
3. The Opera House to the Botanic Gardens Walk
Plenty of oportunities to take pictures of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Walk across the bridge starting from the Rock. Roundtrip takes 20 to 30 minutes. Climb the Phylon for only AUS$9, which is much cheaper and less scary than the Bridge Climb. The 200 step staircase was easy to climb. Good view from the top. Open after 10 am.
Very nice beach. Water is calmer than Manly beach. Can learn to surf here easier. Hike to Bronte beach to see different landscape along the way. Nice waterfront restaurant. Avoid the cheesy sourvenoir stores. There are plenty better ones elsewhere.
Very nice ferry ride if you don't want to pay the guide tour for Sydney harbour. Ferry can be crowded at the end of the day. Beach is bigger but water current is stronger and colder. Very nice shops here.
Best way to see the Australian animals. Hand feed Kangaroos and Wallabies. Pet Koala. Close encouter with lots of other animals, including Emu and a 4M saltwater crocodile.
Lots of fancy restaurants. Good place to get a gelatino, relax and watch the people. There is a nice children playground nearby.
Very similar to the nigh bazaar in Asia. Lots of cheap souvenoirs, T-shirt and leather goods. The souvenoirs may be a few dollars cheaper than other places. Lots of stalls selling similar stuff. It's an experience.
Connected the Pitt Street Mall via underground. Lots of shops, mostly clothing. Mid to high price range.
