Madrid is an exciting city. Upon first rising out of the metro station when we arrived, I got the sense of being in San Francisco, for just one moment. But then, once we settled into the city, it felt natural, a very exciting and fun place to be. Lots of walking, but who cares? It's fun. You're stopping at any tapas place that looks interesting...some filled with the locals...those are the best. Get ready to adjust your clock. Nothing really starts happening until about 10:30 at night. Before you know it, you're out at 2 and 3 in the morning. Here is where the sleep deprivation comes in...you came to see things right? Well time to get up and going...for us, we usually made it out into daylight by noon each day. But it was all worth it! |

| Be prepared for the endless see of humanity that you will see during this Sunday morning market. You won't believe how many people are in the streets for this weekly event. You can find almost anything that you want, or need in this sidewalk bazaar. |

| Get ready to be enchanted by this wonderful place. One word comes to mind when I think of Seville - frenetic - it's always moving, always on the go...lots of energy and everyone is so friendly. I would recommend visiting the Triana area, just on the other side of the Guadalquivir river. It's more of a local feel and the if you are lucky - we were - you might run into a place where some impromptu flamenco singing is going on....We happened upon a place on evening and there was a man playing guitar. Soon, the 2 owners of the place started to sing amazing music. We were the last ones in the place. We met a very nice and friendly man by the name of Ramon....we ran into him a few nights later in the same neighborhood. He really welcomed us to his city. |

| This is one amazing city. For those of you who have been to Siena, Italy, there is a similar feel to Toledo. Get lost and wander in the labyrinth of alleys that make up the city. Don't forget to try the Mazapan! |
