beautiful art and architecture. make sure you go early in the day so that you can see the emerald buddha which closes around midday. after exploring here head to Wat Pho temple which is adjacent to the Palace.
2. Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho)
while here you must:
1. view the massive reclining buddha
2. have a traditional thai massage at the massage school on the temples grounds. its cheap and unforgettable!
3. Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit)
view the solid gold buddha at this temple.
if you are in bangkok over a weekend , head here. With 8000 stalls it is too huge to see it all! easyily accessed via the metro railway. bargain by cutting prices in half. this is the place to buy thai arts and crafts and clothing at great prices!
explore the many stalls. note that cloing time is around 10.30 pm. take the metro to get here.
after a night of shopping ,go to the very end of the street for a fabulous foot massage at one of the reputable salons, for just 150 baht!
6. Siam shopping
using the metro, come to Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery and the MBK shopping Centre. the food court at Paragon is a must!
7. Musjid Guwatulislam
on the banks of the river , this mosque is a good place to visit because once you are in its precincts the surrounding area is good to take a walk through. you will witness the life of the locals as you walk the streets because all their doors are open.
