    Carriage rides are available at Easton Town Center throughout the Holiday Season. $15 for Couples. Children ride free with paying adult.

  • 2. BalletMet's Nutcracker Suite at the Ohio Theater

    Few things warm up a soul during December like the annual classic as presented by BalletMet, "The Nutcracker Suite." As soon as you hear "The Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairies", you'll recall grade school field trips as your holiday senses awaken once again to this timeless classic.

  • 3. An 1861 Christmas at the Statehouse

    It's an 1861-era holiday at the Ohio Statehouse with Victorian garlands cascading from marble columns and a 25-foot tree adorned with lace, sugar-glazed fruit, handmade "candles" and jewelry. Choirs perform every weekday at noon in the Crypt, plus there are free holiday tours, unique gifts in the Museum Shop and renditions of Victorian foods take visitors back to the Staehouse's first Christmas.

    With more than two million twinkling lights, ice skating, live reindeer, Santa Claus and a variety of other festive activities for the entire family.

  • 6. Ice Skating in Downtown at "Skate on State Street."

    The open-air skating rink opens next to the Statehouse in late November and stays open until the first of the year. Admission is $6.50 with an additional $2.00 charge for skate rental, if necessary. Next to the skating area is a 70-foot Ferris Wheel for those wanting a different diversion, weather permitting. Vendors are also camped alongside the rink for those in need of hot chocolate, a cup of coffee, or a bite to eat.

    The Ohio Craft Museum offers handmade artifacts that children can play with and adults can enjoy the style and craftsmanship from native Ohio Artists. Also, Ohio Craftsmen display their wares at WInterFair, inside the Multi-Purpose Building on Ohio State Fairgrounds. WinterFair runs the first weekend in December. See site for details.
