Spring is the best time to visit Michigan Avenue, when the Magnificent Mile is lined with tulips in every color of the rainbow. Even non-shoppers will enjoy people watching and sightseeing on this famous street.
Reward yourself after a long day of sightseeing with a drink at the Signature Room on the top of the Hancock Building. Watch as the whole city lights up beneath you.
This museum is home to thousands of priceless works of art. It is truly one of Chicago's gems.
After touring the Art Institute, take a stroll through Chicago's newly-finished Millenium Park. If you're lucky, you can catch a free concert in the amphitheater.
Dress to impress and head over to the River North neighborhood, which borders downtown. Chicago is famous for its restaurants, and this one is a good choice on a spring evening because of its outdoor patio. Even if you don't like sushi, there are plenty of asian and latin-inspired dishes on the menu. Don't forget to arrive early and have one of their delicious drinks at the bar.
After the White Sox won the World Series last year, it is easier to get tickets to a Cubs' home game. Wrigley field is a must-see for every baseball enthusiast.
No trip to Wrigley Field would be complete without grabbing a beer at this bar before or after the game. You are sure to run into some die-hard Cubbies' fans.
A great place for families, Lincoln Park has a ton of free activities, including a zoo, nature museum, and botanical gardens. Spring is by far the best time to visit this wonderful city park.
9. North Avenue Beach
This is where Chicago comes out to play on the weekends. Go for a run or a bike ride, or play a game of volleyball. If you just want to relax, bring a picnic and sit on the beach and watch the sailboats on Lake Michigan.
Chicago's rich ethnic history means lots of good food from all over the world. Grab a bite to eat at Artopolis, Athena, or one of the many wonderful restaurants in Greektown.
