A few nice things to do

  • 1. Chart House Restaurant
Chart House Restaurant, Daytona Beach, Florida

For a special supper, this is where the locals go to "dress up" for supper. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. The service is crisp, but unobtrusive, and the food is top-notch!

  • 2. A tiny Cruise Line

This small (VERY SMALL) boat takes you up and down the intercoastal waterway with "Captain Jim" at the helm. He is a wealth of local knowledge and a naturalist with a very good grasp of wildlife identification and habits. Well worth a couple of hours of your time.

  • 3. Ormond Beach Winery

If you like wine, and are not a snob about it, this is a nice wine shop where they make award-winning wines from local produce (Orange, Pinapple, Mango, etc). The owners are friendly and willing to pour samples of their unique product. While you're there, check out their signs and placards for your home bar. A great break from souvenier shopping!
