My favorite thing about the Gold Coast is the bingo hall. Yes this may sound like a goofy hting to do but it is a nice departure from the usual Vegas glitz, glamour and lights. The Gold Coast is an out of the way casino but the table limits are low and the dealers are usually friendly. The Gold Coast also has one of the best meal deals in town at the Monterey Room where you can get the Texas T-bone meal for $9.95. The TT comes with a good sized steak, beans, salad, potato wedges, onion rings, bread and a good sized beer. |

| Yes the Shark Reef is a bit over-priced and a good walk but it is a fun little oasis from the craziness of the strip and there is something nice about watching sharks and turtles glide by and then going out onto the casino floor, getting a double vodka tonic and throwing some dice. |

3. Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
|
|
| As you can see from my list I like to have fun little side trips away from the usual Vegas wackiness, which I love but I like to take breaks from it. The Secret Garden is another one of those little oasis from the strip. It is a fun place to check out some animals and take a breather. |

| If you feel like splurging on a phenomenal dinner Michael's is the place to do it. If you decide to treat yourself and drop the coins on this place you will not be disappointed. Michael's is unlike any dining experience you have probably ever had. Not only is the food exquisite but the service and ambience rises to an equal level also. Hopefully you can have dinner here before the Barbary Coast closes down and they move the restaurant. The management has stated that they will keep the old feel but who knows if that will happen. |

| The Tryst club in the Wynn casino is one of the most beautiful and well laid out clubs anywhere. Centered around a cascading waterfall the Tryst starts with a walk down a set of stairs surrounded in red velvet walls, dark woods and sexy lighting. Once inside you will see the above mentioned waterfall and see a good sized dance floor that goes outside with a front view of the waterfall and pool. The bartenders are smoking hot, and so are the go-go dancers and bottle-service girls. These girls look like they are out of a Victoria's Secret catalog or something and they are actually friendly. Getting a drink was never a problem and the bartenders are not only hot but they know how to mix a drink. Great place to not only bump but grind too. |

| Probably one of the best views of the strip, probably even better than the Foundation Room in the same hotel. The Mix club starts off on the ground floor by the entrance to The Hotel and you are then whisked up to the 64th floor with views of the strip from every side as you walk around the club. The space is fairly small and there really isn't any room for dancing per se (that doesn't stop some people) but people are usually fairly well plied with alcohol and friendly. If you want a good place to pre-function and catch some amazing views of the strip try the Mix Lounge at Mandalay Bay. |

| If you are looking for a massive sports book, the Las Vegas Hilton is the place for you. The Hilton is at the far end of the strip, so far you wouldn't even really call it the strip but the monorail stops right at the front door. This sports book is massive, with more TVs than anywhere and some of the biggest. This sports book is the place for the serious gambler and though it isn't as comfortable or as swank as say the Caesars or Bellagio one, it is huge and comprehensive. |

| Of all the roller coasters in Vegas I think this one is the best. The Manhattan Express has the best combination of speed, loops and turns. This ride not only loops all around the outside of the casino, but it goes inside the casino itself. The Sahara coaster isn't bad either, it is just short and over so soon. |

9. Peppermill's Fireside Lounge
|
|
| I almost didn't post this listing since I don't want this place to become to popular and touristy but it deserves to be listed. The Peppermill is one of the coolest bars on the planet if not the coolest. As soon as you walk into this nondescript lounge you will feel like you have been transported back into Las Vegas in the 70's. As a matter of fact, if you are a fan of the movie Casino, you will notice that the flaming fountain seats were the location for an opening scene in the movie. There is no decent way to describe this place, you really have to go there to appreciate it. The drinks are strong and the waitresses serving them in their up-the-leg slit evening dresses are a definite bonus. |
