Costa Rica, great destination for kids
1. Hotel La Rosa de America

Great place to start and end your trip, very close to airport. Jim and Roslyn are great hosts, very helpful -- pool is nice, breakfast is great.
2. La Paz Waterfall Gardens
La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Heredia, Province of Heredia
The waterfalls are spectucular. Take the long hike around to see all the bridges and waterfalls (it's not very long)

Great resort, great pool, great restaurant, spectacular views of Arenal volcano.

Saw lots of spectacular wildlife here: sloths, howler monkeys, snakes -- all up close.

Must see for any Costa Rica visit - get a guide, they are very helpful.

Beautiful luxurious hotel, righit on the beach. The kids will love the pool. My six-year old taught himself to swim on his own in deep water here.
