Located at the end of Saskatchewan Avenue West along the North Saskatchewan River, this area include a boat Launch, picnic tables, gazebo and washroom facilities. Right across the river, you can see and walk to Prospectors Point.
Prospectors Point is in Parkland County, another member of the River Valley Alliance. Parkland County is a robust and vibrant municipality, which offers a variety of choices and experiences for residents and visitors alike. The idyllic setting of Parkland County offers country charm with easy access to city amenities.
The land for Prospectors Point was donated by Mary Louise Imrie in 1988. Her intention was that the land be used and enjoyed by the people of Alberta. It is managed by the University of Alberta Devonian Botanical Gardens. Joint funding from the River Valley Alliance, Parkland County and the Alberta Lottery Fund worked together to improve the area for the public.
