Paul P's City Tips

  • The bus service is very good but make sure you have the exact change — and buy an unlimited day ticket if you're planning to take multiple trips.
  • Glasgow is a very relaxed place generally when it comes to dining, and although tips would not be expected in many cafes, the norm in restaurants is around 10%.
  • For taxi drivers rounding up to the next pound is generally practiced by most but not expected.
  • Avoid discussing Scottish football or politics!
