The average hiking time from Seefeld to Scharnitz including the time needed for cableways is about 10 hours and covers about 22 km. The difficult trip from Rosshütte (1751 m) to Scharnitz is about 20 km, gaining about 650 m in elevation. It generally takes 9 hours for average hikers to complete the trip from Rosshütte to Scharnitz, allowing a reasonable time for having a rest.
