Points of Interest

1. Silver Lake LT

No rush to get out too early after your first night. From Silver Lake, follow the NPT north.

2. Beaver Activity

This is the perfect place for lunch. What was a pond has dried up into a beautiful grassy meadow with a stream running through it, complete with an abandoned beaver hut, high and dry.

When you get to it, you'll know. Don't worry about following the trail markers around it, it's dry. Just cut right through to the north-west corner. Watch for some... More

3. Mud Lake LT

4. Whitehouse TH

The trail crosses the Sacandaga River on an impressive suspension bridge, just before the trailhead.

5. Hamilton Lake Stream LT

Follow the trail over another suspension bridge spanning Hamilton Lake Stream then follow it around and up, passed some beaver vly's to an obvious trail branching righ to the Lean-To.

This LT is in a great spot, at the top of a hill overlooking the winding stream below it. Definitely a favorite.
