The Poseidonia Beach Hotel is now under new management as it is now being run by its owners. It is an upscale hotel located in a prime location in Limassol Bay, between the areas of Yermasoyia and Amathus. The hotel is set amidst stunning landscaped gardens which offer an idyllic retreat for a relaxing getaway in Cyprus and offers its guests have the choice of having Bed & Breakfast, Half Board or All Inclusive. Most importantly, the Poseidonia Beach Hotel tells the story of the legacy of Poseidon - the God of the Sea - it is imbedded in every room, hallway and restaurant. The new management of the hotel cares about its guests' stories as much as its own and aims to create an experience in which both stories are combined and transformed into lasting memories..

An amazing hotel. We went for a 4 night stay from Christmas to New year and were slightly worried given off season, but everything was brilliant. The hotel is old but the room and facilities were all in good condition and a good size for a family (there was still space for us to sit around the sofa and table). The breakfast food was good and the half board is themed each night. Although there was sometimes not much for the kids, the hotel would make something for us. The family is Lebanese and the Lebanese night food was epic. We joined the new years eve gala dinner which again was exceptional and a nice celebration including a speech from the owner. They also gave some lovely new year presents and chocolates to our daughters. The pool was covered and warm enough to swim and the beach and photo lookout was very pleasant indeed. There is a full spa in the basement including a spa pool, sauna and steam room which was lovely (and included). There is also a fitness park and kids play park less than 300 m from the hotel (along the beach). There are a few places to eat lunch nearby or you can get delivery from Wolt. It wasn't hot but was very pleasant, and not a typical family hotel but we'd definitely consider Cyprus and this hotel again for new year. Thanks for making our stay so great.

The hotel is very nice and calm, not really a four stars hotel, needs renovation and attention to the public areas. The stuff is really caring and concern, a speciality the bar waitr in the lobby name - Gabriel, he was very kind and nice, he gave me the best service and make sure that everything is fine with me, great service. I really enjoyed it.

Spotlessly clean, excellent service from friendly staff, food varied and of a high standard. Situated on the beach with The Wanax beach bar, serving excellent food and cocktails with live music several evenings a week, including Sunday afternoons. There is a frequent bus service from outside the hotel to the Old Town, Marina and several places of interest. Thank you to everyone at the Poseidonia Hotel for making my holiday a most enjoyable time.

Apparently they play (extremely loud) live music at night at the bar. I am on 5th floor, with closed windows and with earplugs. It doesn't help. The music is very loud. I don't understand their decision. If people want to party, they will go to a club. If people want to sleep, they go to a hotel. So why do so much effort in preventing their guests from sleeping? I was really looking forward to watching a sunrise from my sea-view room, but alas. Also, "dinner inclusive" means only food. There isn't even water included. You have to order and pay for drinks.

My favorite hotel in Limassol, though it's not the most luxurious one. The most important thing is not to be in a super-luxurious hotel that has no soul. Here, I feel the human warmth, (especially Mrs. Chrysoulla who is very helpful and always smiling) yet I have all the comforts I need as a spa, gym, sauna, pool, beach, delicious food, location, and above all generosity... The owner is a charming lady and very low profile. We can see her feminine touch in every corner.. For many years, we spent New Year's Eve at this hotel and it was a fantastic experience!! The hotel is located right on the beach. No matter what kind of room we book, they always upgrade us with a bigger and nicer sea view room, with bottles of wine and water, fruits, sweets, etc. The breakfast is delicious, especially the omelet, the fried mushrooms, and their special green olives with lemons. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are very comfy. There is always something new each time we visit. This is my home when I'm in Limassol. Joëlle I. Beirut-Lebanon

The hotel is a very good choice and has a good price. The rooms are clean the people who work there they are very polite and smiling. The beach is very good. You have free sun beds on grass. Pool is both 1,30 m and 2+m. Breakfast is ok. Parking is ok. The only thing I didn't like was coffee at breakfast and in the room. Overall very good choice of hotel if you like Limassol 9/10

Unfortunately, my experience at the Poseidonia Beach Hotel was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the hotel's location is relatively far from the city center. While this might suit those seeking a secluded resort-like stay and don't mind depending on taxis or car rentals for transportation, it can be quite inconvenient. Additionally, the surrounding area appears run-down. Aside from the crowded beach and a handful of relatively expensive bars, the dining options were mediocre at best, which added to the overall unappealing atmosphere. While the lobby looked fine, the hotel has not been properly renovated for awhile and looks dated. The rooms are particularly disappointing. The furniture is old, and the outer doors are loose, allowing noise from people entering and leaving their rooms to disturb your peace. I was repeatedly awakened by the sound of banging doors during my stay, so it's something one should be prepared to endure. Furthermore, the windows are broken and ineffective in blocking outside noise. Consequently, when the hotel hosts their 'entertainment' events during the weekends, you won't be able to escape the noise. Another issue I encountered was that the rooms are interconnected, meaning you can easily hear conversations, snoring, and even sneezing from the adjacent room. When I mentioned this, the receptionist responded by asking "what did you expect?", as if it were a standard feature in all hotels. I politely explained that interconnected rooms have not been common in other hotels I have stayed. Once the noise got unbearable, the receptionist told me I was simply too sensitive and that there was nothing they could do. They did however send a workman in my room to drill a screw into the connecting door - I am not sure how that should have helped, and well.. it did not. Guests are also expected to adapt to peculiar systems, such as obtaining a stick from the reception to exchange for a beach towel (which btw sets a 20 EUR deposit on your hotel room account). It would be worthwhile for the hotel to invest in a more advanced system, i believe it would save both the staff and the visitors a lot of confusion and miscommunication. I also repeatedly received dirty towels in my room. So, considering all these things, I would not choose to stay in this hotel again, nor can I recommend it.

I’d say the overall score should be 4.5 and not pure 5 because of some issues which may be nothing for most guests but made our stay very good but a bit missing from an excellent one: 1. Acoustics are not good, you can hear (or be interfered) by the noise in the room next to you. 2. There is quite some noise from the main road, mostly by motorcyclists, even if your room is facing the beach. 3. The tennis courts are full with sand from the beach, so for an actual game, be ready to use a broom for a good few minutes. 4. Enforcing the non smoking policy is done only by a direct request. I’d expect sensors to do that. But the overall experience besides that was really great: 1. Attractive price compared to other hotels in the area with a similar quality. 2. Very good service by the hotel’s employees. Especially Ivanka at the reception. 3. Issues are solved after reported - we were transferred to a quiet room without noisy neighbours once we told about a noise from the room next to us and the room was changed to a sea facing one. 4. We decided to stay more than originally booked as we were satisfied by the overall experience and value for money. 5. The family rooms are spacious and a 2+2 setup is very easy and comfy. 6. The selection of food for both breakfast and dinner is very good for a 4 stars hotel.
