Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel is very run down and is in serious need of renovation. The shower was fitted to the bath taps with a rubber hose barely long enough and was diagonally across the bath while showering. Carpets seemed like they needed a good clean. Tea and coffe facilities were poor and only paper cups provided for 3 nights. You could have the tea and coffe topped up only if you went to reception, they were not refreshed automatically. €500 for 3 nights seemed excessive for what’s on offer. Staff were friendly and Location was good as right in the centre but wouldn’t stay again.

We just rented bikes from them and it was a great experience! Good bikes at an excellent price and with super-helpful staff! They provided bike route ideas, maps, app advice and more. I can’t speak to the hotel itself, but the bike rental service was excellent!

Stayed for two nights in August - booked the night before hence the very hefty £600 price tag! (via Booking.con which obvs took a cut). Staff are friendly so no problem there. Is Central and easy to find which was a bonus. Issues are the 1500 check in time (they sorted it out for 1330 which we appreciated) and the state of the place. Cluttered reception didn't now well, neither did the broken lift for that price. Dubious stain on the floor outside of our room and a dubious smell inside - had to have a spray straight away to get rid. It wasn't £600 worth of room with a dirty feeling carpet, broken bedside lamp, cracked mirror bathroom, tight ass telly you had to pay to get Netflix after initially watching one thing for free and no breakfast - for £600 which still stings. Comfortable bed and clean sheets fortunately. The bathroom was clean thank goodness but rubbish shower curtain rail which fell down and a matching shower head that had a mind of it's own, swivelling every which way but the way you wanted. Right racket from the adjoining bar but after a long day, soon fell asleep. The terrace was the best thing, nice area to sit down when the sun was shining and a shortcut from the bar. Not knocking the staff as I said but just feel robbed, it needs a deep clean, some investment in the tired old decor. A Travelodge, UK budget hotel seems like a five star after this place and and won't be making that mistake again!

The hotel itself is very very basic. Everything is old but sort of in working order. Tv channels didn't work, lots of draft , bathroom is ok as i can say. Beds are comfortable though and towels were clean and fluffy. The room wasn't very clean unfortunately and there were some blood stains around the room which i guess were ignored by cleaning staff for sure. As a whole for one night stay it was ok but would like to choose another place next time as it wasn't cheap either.

This hotel was absolutely superb for us as a family of 6. Three teenagers and three adults. The beds were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good quality sheets and bedding. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The location is excellent in the centre of Bruges. We would highly recommend it, and will certainly stay here again. Perfect for us.

We had a x4 apartment room which was comfortable and clean. Perfectly situated off the main square making exploration of the city very easy. Easy late night access with helpful management. Parked in a nearby underground car park for €11 euros as there was no parking but that didn’t really matter.

2-star, simple and no breakfast…but what a location!! 30 seconds from the main square! Clean rooms with bathroom and toilet with Brugge at your fingertips! Nice staff, helpful and with tips where to get a nice breakfast. Recommended, except for during hot summer days as there is no air conditioner…

The hotel canceled our reservation without any valid reason 2 days before our arrival. After we called the hotel 3 times we could not talk with the manager. They asked us the credit card data by phone. Our room was overbooked and we had to change the hotel. Terrible experience.

Friendly staff and a simple Check-in/Check-out. The hotel is located meters away from the main square which is very useful for early photos of the square to yourself. The room was spacious and clean. It was a 20 minute walk from the train station and bike rental is available at reception. Only issue was the great location as the Belfry was so close the bells may wake you if you like to sleep in.

Would never recommend this so called Hotel. Uncomfortable beds, paper cups, plastic utensils, told drinking water was unsafe and it was necessary to buy bottled water at 3euros for a small bottle. Cracked washbasin, difficult shower, view of dirty, broken old rooftops, no terrace, no lounge. Breakfast was uneatable, burnt croissants, dry cheese, processed ham, in a paper bag to be eaten in room. The only person benefitting from this was the bin. A great waste of ingredients.
