The team at Villa Adriana made us feel very welcome. We had two rooms - both had moderate cooking capability (fridge, hob, crockery and cutlery etc). One apartment had a fabulous balcony with views out to the beach - it was superb the other was a bit smaller and didn’t have quite the living space. The only drawback was a lack of storage space to unpack into. We had excellent breakfasts every day - prepared by the owner - who was entertaining company. The hotel is 10-15 mins walk from the beach and 5-10 mins from the restaurants (although there is one about 100m away). Would thoroughly recommend.

Stayed at Adriana hotel at August 2023. I really liked it. Room is modern with one of the most stylish and cozy decoration I’ve ever seen. Staff excellent and the rooms very clean. Didn’t ate breakfast or used the pool so I can’t comment on those. Keep in mind that the distance to Agios Prokopios beach is around 700 meters something not easy to walk during a hot summer day…… For the right price I undoubtedly suggest Adriana hotel.

Just stayed for a week, to echo many of the comments the place is very clean and functional, pool is spotless and never too busy. The owner is a lovely man and very helpful as are the ladies on reception. The road down to town is a little dicey but ok. I would def use Adriana again. Some tips. If arriving on ferry have a taxi booked or hire car as there are not many and its a bun fight. Taxi 25 euro. Same going back to Mykonos as even busier, leave 3 hours before your flight as traffic terrible. I would hire a car (motonaxos) and drive to the many secluded beaches, highlight was Moutsouna on west coast (which had lovey fish tavern and great drive through mountains) and hawaii beach. Best meal was meze meze in Naxos town, the local tavernas are average on the whole but naxos town has free parking on outskirts and loads of options and is very stylish.

We have just returned from 7 nights staying at Villa Adriana. I don’t always get around to writing reviews but wanted to make an effort for this one. I had booked in March and then read a few negative reviews so wanted to share our positive experience. I was travelling as a single Mum with two children aged 8 and 11. This small hotel is run by a very hardworking local family. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The cleaning and maintenance team are really friendly and very careful to clean your rooms at the most convenient time for you. They ensured we always had fresh towels and even brought pool towels to the pool for us to ensure we didn’t miss out. The room was beautifully designed, clean and well kitted out. Beds were really comfortable. The small balcony overlooking the pool and with views to the sea was perfect for relaxing. The kitchenette had everything we needed for our stay and the bathroom with incredible shower was perfect. The room was fitted with Air con which worked really well. We didn’t see a single mosquito (my kids normally get eaten alive!) but the hotel had provided a plug in deterrent and had fly screens if needed. The pool was perfect for us and was partially in shade all morning, which was ideal in such hot temperatures. Most of the time we had it to ourselves. It felt very peaceful. The location was far enough from the main resort to be really quiet and relaxing. The resort is a short walk away and the beach approximately 10mins walk. We found a perfect shortcut (right out of hotel, right onto main road and next right at the brow of the hill) which took us off the busy road and down a track to a quieter part of Agios Prokopios beach. The beach is perfect for all ages and there are plenty of lifeguards so feels very safe. There is a nearby supermarket which is well stocked (including a wide selection of gluten free and dairy free options) and also nearby bakery selling fresh pastries, bread and cakes daily. The bakery also has a coffee and fresh juice bar for take always. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel and the bus stop into Naxos town is only 2 mins walk and 2 Euros a ticket. We hired a car for 5 days to explore the island. Highlights were playing in the crashing waves at Hawaii beach, early evening drinks with incredible views at Rotunda in the mountains, catching the sunset at The Temple of Apollo in Naxos Town, learning about Olive Oil making at Eggares and snorkelling at the Amitis beach nearby.

The worst accommodation ever I wouldn’t recommended at all. The owner was very abusive to the staff in the reception and to the housekeeping staff. I have never experienced anything like that before I couldn’t wait to leave. I really felt sorry for the younger lady that cleaned our room. I found out later that she left because she couldn’t cope anymore being abused by the owner. The rooms are very small and the mattresses were horrible.

Serious safety incident
Daughter had an awful experience with her and her friends being groped by one of the staff - then when I complained - the supervisor said their legal team saw discrepancies in my story ??? Don’t advise any young girls or woman travelling alone to go here - also saw similar review after reading other reviews- so clearly they were not the only ones - shame they can’t deal with the issue - rather than blaming the guests of lying - shame as the holiday was ruined by one man

We stayed (family of 4) at Villa Adriana hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel was lovely, modern rooms with good space. We had a superior family room with two terraces which was ideal. The welcome from Yiannis and the staff was wonderful. From being met on arrival to the time we left they couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly in providing recommendations and booking trips. Wi-Fi was strong the whole time which kept the kids happy and also helped with researching the area. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean - huge thank you to the team for looking after us so well. We felt the location was ideal. Close enough to everything you needed but quiet and peaceful too. A 10 minute walk from the town of Agios Prokopios and the beach via a small path behind the hotel. We also walked to Agia Anna which is another 10 mins. Bus stop at the end of the road provides easy access to Chora and Plaka. Overall we had a brilliant time on Naxos. The island is beautiful and the beaches and weather were fantastic. Super range of restaurants too. Would definitely recommend Naxos as a destination and Hotel Villa Adriana. We would love to come back one day.

I am writing this review on my way from this hotel back to the port. I have just spent 5 nights in this hotel (feels hard even calling it a hotel as it’s more of a b&b with some old stalker man following you at your every move.) on arrival the owner comes across as a very open and friendly man until it comes to the stage where I was walking around the hotel on the main road to get the the pool just trying to avoid the part of the hotel where there are tables that should be for guests to relax but instead he had his permanent table in the corner where he would sit for hours each day smoking and making comments at you as you passed. I have been in hotels all over the world with my family of all different stars and ratings and I have never written a bad review in my entire life as I think all hotels are to there own but I am in complete shock after just being thrown out of the hotel reception. We had checked out this morning and we’re told we were allowed to leave our bags in reception which was all good so we had spend the day at the beach and came back to the grumpy man who walks around shoe less as if he is in his own house and you are just a person uncomfortably staying in his house. He came into reception where I was with my family shouting and giving out that we had dirtied his seats and wet his floor which was none of the above. At the rate he was going you would swear he was the owner of the Waldorf Astoria when really his hotels reception looked like my grandmothers living room and I would never willingly sit there if you paid me too. The hotel does not even sell a bottle of water and if you come back after 12 it feels like a ghost town with the whole reception shut so you wouldn’t want to be dying of thirst or locked out of your room cause no one will be available to help you that’s be sure. He had different attitudes to all guests which I can clearly see reading these reviews. I can clearly see I got on his bad side from the start of our stay as I asked him about the wifi seeing as there was no service in our bedroom and I had 3 teenagers it wasn’t very ideal. The next day he came over saying he got the wifi fixed and informed us it cost him €1600 as if it was our fault and we should be paying for it. The wifi still was only 1 bar and barely worked but I couldn’t bare going back to him about it as we tried to avoid him at all costs. One night my daughters were told by him to get into there rooms and go to bed as if he was there father or they were in a camp. This hotel is very misleading with the location as it is definitely not as close to the beach as it states and you have so much more options of lovely hotels on the beachfront for much cheaper prices and way better location. This was my third island on this 2 week holiday and even though the hotel was the most expensive it was 100% the worst. The woman at reception was very lovely and helpful and so were the cleaning staff in passing but that owner of a man Yannis just brought the whole vibe of the hotel down.
