Castelmezzano is not without any reason one the most beautiful villages in Italy but very remotely nestled in the lucanian dolomites. We only saw one staff member and he was brilliant and seemed to be doing everything, very well, with a smile on his face. The dinner in the hotel was lovely, the room clean and comfortable. So happy that we made the detour from the tourist route and enjoyed every minute of Castelmezzano, the local people and this hotel.

We spent one night here on the way to Rome from Sicily. The accommodation is average for the price, but its the lovely setting in the beautiful little town of Castelmezzano in the wild Lucanian Appenines and the very good restaurant that makes this a place definitely worth staying.

We had a fantastic experience here. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and the view from out balcony was incredible. Stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed a lot longer. Lovely town too - would definitely reccommend visiting and doing the volo d'angelo!
