I stayed in this lovely privately owned hotel whilst travelling north as an alternative to a faceless corporate hotel. It is fabulous to stay somewhere that still knows and understands service. The owners were on hand to meet me and had prepared sandwiches for my arrival as I was arriving after last dinner orders - a great personal touch. Everywhere... More

Have just spent 4 nights here. Nice friendly staff. Good sized , well appointed room (no 2), on the front of the hotel which means its a bit noisy from traffic, though it didnt bother us at night . (At the back you get the church clock chiming instead). Shower head had a leak where pipe meets the head, needs... More

We've stayed here a few times and the fact that we've tried most of the other comparable options within a few miles will tell you that whilst we keep coming back, we're not so sold on it that we have stopped looking for something better. We had a suite on the first floor, consisting on a spacious sitting area, yet... More

Just had a two night mid week stay at this hotel and couldn't fault it. We stayed in room 2 which is on the main road and although it can be noisy in the day it is quiet at night and had no problem sleeping in the large, very comfortable bed. The room was large with a lounge area and... More

We arrived on foot as part of a walking holiday. The bags had arrived ahead of us and were carried to the room for us. Everything about the quality of furniture and fittings was excellent. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable but not overbearing. It was a pleasure to see the bar had a good selection of real (and local) beers.... More

We have just returned from a lovely break at this hotel. Lovely big comfy rooms. Spotless and good service. Good value too. Brilliant spot for a lovely break there are some lovely walks by the riverside the castle is worth a vIsIt and you can walk or drive to a lovely sandy beach.. Will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I stayed here beginning of March for three nights. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable with a lovely bed. We ate in the hotel every night and were not disappointed by either the quality or the quantity. The new owners deserve to do well. Warkworth is a lovely village and very near to a lot... More

This comfortable hotel, in the coastal village of Warkworth, is highly recommended for a short break or a longer holiday. We stayed on a very cold, wintry weekend and found it to be a marvelous escape from the elements. The rooms are well equipped, clean and welcoming. The bar and residents' lounge are good places to relax. The very attractive... More

My husband & I enjoyed a fantastic 2 night break at the beginning of February. We stayed in Room 2, which was amazing, more like a suite with a huge bed & separate seating area, overlooking the Main Street. It was so comfortable we didn't want to move! We ate in the restaurant both nights. The food was delicious, &... More
