My daughter booked two rooms online specifying that one should be on the ground floor. The ground floor room was shabby, dingy, and reminiscent of Fawlty Towers. Dingy cream panelled walls, broken panel in the door, thin unlined curtains (overlooking the carpark), only one sliding door on the wardrobe - where had the other one gone? The bathroom had no... more

I booked this hotel before reading the reviews which are generally discouraging. I was relieved to find that, while there is some truth in some of the criticisms, it wasn't bad at all, certainly for the reduced rate of £70 including breakfast. We were very pleasantly received and shown to a comfortable, spacious room with giant bed. The bathroom was... more

We were somewhat concerned that our annual trip to Warkworth was going to be a disappointment after reading some of the latest reviews but this was certainly not the case. We were greeted promptly at the reception and were able to quickly settle into our rooms. We were told early on that a new chef had recently been appointed and... more

I chose Warkworth House Hotel as the location to stay on the eve of my wedding, assuming that this was the best hotel in Warkworth. I was sadly mistaken. When other guests tried to book the hotel several people were told that it was full, only to be told there were many rooms free three weeks later - this was... more

The plates were dirty, the food was very very amateurish, overpriced and tasteless, not... more

Sadly my wife booked our stay at Warkworth without checking TA. She booked one of the executive rooms, a good size room, after that it went down hill rapidly. the TV had 2 remote controls and no instructions, what a pain to use, I gave up on it the 2nd night. No clock or alarm, no shelves in the bathroom,... more

Having read some of the very negative reviews on this site, the morning we were leaving for Warkworth, I had great concerns about what lay ahead. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We had a very comfortable, clean, spacious room and were all made to feel very welcome (even the dog!!). I hope that we will return when next... more

I stayed at this hotel with my partner and friends for a wedding. Given the amount of money we all paid we were expecting alot more than we got. The Hotel was very disappointing. It was dirty (especially the breakfast room), dated and the breakfasts were very poor. The showers in most of the rooms we booked we not great... more
