We were lucky enough to get to stay at Carole's rainforest villa for three days during our anniversary vacation to Puerto Rico in March and April. To begin with, Carole is a great host! She was very responsive and helpful during the month leading up to our trip with recommendations of activities, restaurants, directions etc. She also makes a killer... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at Carole's place. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We felt like we were visiting an old friend. The room is great, and has everything available you might need. Snacks, drinks, coffee pot and coffee as well as sunscreen. The bed is comfortable and everything in... More

Wonderful is the only way to describe Carole's villa. Lovely room and a great outdoor kitchen. The frogs sing you to sleep at night. Carole was a great host. It was exactly what we were looking for. We went to El Yunque to enjoy the natural history and then got to be surrounded by nature in the evening as well More

Better late than never. Went here on the weekend after Valentines Day 2008. Everything was booked and a nearby villa recommended Caroles Villa. Sure why not. We arrived and Carole greeted us outside. The couple we knew who lived in PR looked inside the room and offered to take us somewhere else because it wasn't somewhere they would stay. We... More

What a wonderful stay at a beautiful location. As commented, this isn't the Courtyard or the Hilton, so don't expect it to be. If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten path with an amazing view (that Carole doesn't want you to post pictures of) this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and make her have a... More

We stayed at Carole's place for three days in early February 2010. It really was fantastic and just what we were looking for. We are the type of travelers that would rather open our veins than stay at an all-inclusive resort (like the tacky Rio Mar nearby), so it's usually B&Bs and guesthouses for us. But even some of those... More

Carol's cottage has lots of character, excellent views and serenity. The set up is basically a one room guest house next to her house (which is the last house situated next to a rarely used entrance to El Yunque Park.) The room has a king sized bed, a set up with a small fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker and snacks.... More

We were sorry we only had two nights to spend here. I loved our little villa - the bed was huge and inviting - and the view is spectacular. I also loved the outdoor kitchen, but we never used it. We never did get to meet Carole, but she was very helpful by e-mail as we were planning. Very quiet... More

I went her with my bf in March and this place was wonderful. Carole was very helpful in giving advice of where to go and what to see. The place was wonderful and clean. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax. More

This has to be one of the most unique places to stay in El Yunque Puerto Rico! We booked a room for 2 nights, and asked to stay longer - (4 nights total in July 2009). For simplicity..... Clean Nice Location Private & Quiet Unique Decor YES - I WILL come again The villa sits close to the top of... More
