We really enjoyed our stay, in fact the only thing wrong with it was that we could only stay one night as we would really have liked to have tried more dishes from the evening menu. The menu was interesting and varied and the food was excellent. We had room 15, a standard room which was very well furnished and... more
Excellent service and very pleasant staff Room was very comfortable and clean with a surperb view Hotel was easy to find and the amenities were excellent. Really enjoyed having after dinner coffee/tea in the lovely lounge. If we had stayed longer would have certainly taken advantage of the games room. more
Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Ravenstone For a 2 star Hotel, this place is exeptional. On arrival we were upgraded to a four poster room as the hotel was fairly quiet. The food in the evening was of a very high standard and well presented. The full breakfast in the morning was also very good. A... more
It's great to know you can survive if you have to stay indoors all day. Glad you enjoyed the upgrade - we offer this free if the hotel is quiet. See you soon when we are less wet. Debra
This was our second visit to this hotel, both times for five nights. We were in the same room each time which was very clean and well appointed. It was quiet and very peaceful - just what we needed to relax. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly - including the other guests! The situation is perfect for exploring the Western... more
Don't worry about your waistline you are on holiday. WiFi can be hit and miss at times - as we are a little in the wilderness. See you again soon for another relaxing break. Debra
At 6 months pregnant we were just looking for a quiet retreat and this is exactly what we got. The food was delicious and unexpected as we got a cheap late deal with breakfast and dinner included. The staff were really friendly but it was a hotel that was probably more suitable for an older couple at 28 we were... more
Another short visit to this cosy and welcoming hotel - it seems even better to "come home to Ravenstone" after a wet day on the fells - the drying room was a welcome and well used facility. Some may think that the remoteness of this hotel is a minus point, but the reality is that you simply don't want to... more
We stayed for 2 nights at the Ravenstone Hotel and overall had a very pleasant stay, despite the weather!! On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our room, and they upgraded us to a double room despite us making the mistake of booking a twin room which was good! The bedroom was large with a spacious and very comfy... more
Very difficult to please everyone with music being played as it's also lovely to have some peace and quiet sometimes. Glad you found the location to be perfect which we totally agree with you. Debra
