I've stayed at Casa de Piedra now several times and it's always a pleasure. The place is very new and the rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The common area with a huge fireplace is very comfy and inviting. The breakfasts are typical Argentine simple, but plentiful and delicious. Although I've never stayed in it, in addition to their en suite rooms they also have a cabin available.
The best thing about this Hosteria though are the owners Louis and Rosana, they are simply the friendliest lodging owners I've ever met. They, and their two teenaged sons go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. As soon as you show up in the parking lot one of the boys is there to carry your bags. After you've settled in Louis will ask if you'd like a beer or whiskey. Rosana is always around making sure your stay is pleasant.
