Though we had requested the room on the main floor, we ended up in upper rooms because of the mouldy smell in the room on the main floor (as I´m quite sensitive). All of the rooms we saw on the upper floors were beautiful, and airy and exquisitely decorated. The Toscanini suite with its two rooms and balcony was gorgeous... More

An Italian tour, vagabond-style, for "just we two" peaked at this beautifully restored, lovingly tended property in the little hill town of Piazze, near Cetona. Comfort, superb hospitality, and unobtrusive modern conveniences have brought the historic inn back to vibrant life. While the restaurant is closed indefinitely, others are available via short walks in the tiny town - be sure... More

We drove up from Rome to the locanda and spent two nights there -- it's a great stepping stone towards northern Italy. We visited Siena and wished we'd had the time to go to Montepulciano, which is quite nearby. The hotel is charming, comfortable and has great common areas. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is also quite extraordinary.... More

The locanda is very beautiful, attentively furnished and unique and the Ristorante Toscanini is excellent, unforgettable, from all viewpoints a fulfulling experience. The success of the restaurant is due to the warm, courteous hospitality of Patrizia and Sergio, the owners, who always strive to meet everyone's personal needs and expectations. The food is superb, well cooked and carefully prepared in... More

Typical Tuscan building right in the middle of Tuscany and the italian food served at its restaurant "Toscanini" were just delicious. The room is beautiful and clean, and the staff are very nice.

We have just returned from a stay at the Locanda Toscanini, located in the idyllic countryside of the Tuscan countryside. The locanda is located in the pretty village of Piazze, about a ten minute drive from the towns of Cetona and Chiusi. We stayed at the locanda as we were attending a friend's wedding nearby. I emailed the locanda several... More

We loved our stay at Locanda Toscanini. The hotel is beautifully decorated down to the smallest detail. It's comfortable, and the staff, Linda and Kristina, were friendly and helpful. Piazze is a small town but very neat, clean, and cared for and in a beautiful valley. We ate at the adjacent excellent, new Ristorante Toscanini, where the owners treated us... More

We spend two nights at the charming and perfectly run Locanda Toscanini. It was a joy to be there. An old mill transformed into a small hotel, the Locanda provided a wonderful base for exploring southern Tuscany and Umbria. Piazze is a sweet village; Montepulciano is only about 40 minutes away. Our room and bath were beautifully decorated, quiet, clean... More

This is a beautiful locanda, recently renovated by Courtney and Michele that is perfectly located for exploring southern Tuscany, or like us to get away from Rome for a weekend and enjoy a stroll across the rolling Tuscan hills. From the minute we arrived at this small, cozy, quiet and charming 9-room locanda, we were greeted as friends and shown... More
