We stayed one night on our way north, We were disappointed not to be given the room booked - it was booked in August 2011 - no apology or explanation received just a shrug of the shoulders, The alternative room was large and comfortable. Lovely setting - countryside and views. The welcome was warm. Lovely outdoor space and courtyard to... More

I have now been to Craigadam on several occasions, and every visit is a delight. I have been with my wife and friends and shall be returning with my wife and daughters later this year. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the rooms all having different themes. Doubles and twins are available, several are arranged in a courtyard behind... More

We have visited Craigadam several times now and return simply because nowhere else offers the same as they do. The house is situated on a working farm and the estate rises to to rear of a very impressive house with the holiday accommodation immediately to the rear and attached to the house. The whole atmosphere is comfortable with the feeling... More

We were fortunate enough to spend 5 nights and have three days walked up / mini driven days at Craigadam. Fantastic hospitality and great shooting over varied landscape and excellent mini drives with mixed bag of woodcok, duck, partridge and pheasants. Finished up on Woodcock flighting which was extremely testing ( especially for my brother!)The keepers and staff were excellent... More

Having visited Craigadam numerous times, it just get's better and better. Wonderful Hosts in Richard and Celia, nothing is too much trouble for them to help with. Meals are delicious with a varid selection of meats from the organic farm, Duck, Lamb, Venison, Pheasant, Partridge to name some of them. Rooms are of a themed variety and are large and... More

Some may love the relaxed atmosphere, but it can be taken too far. We did not enjoy standing in the rain waiting to find out which room we had, and the steps to the room were impossible. We had not been told that that room was external, and assumed that a ground floor room (required due to mobility problems) would... More

Thank you for writing a review. I could perhaps point out in my defence that you requested a ground floor room and after some discussion picked the Scottish room. You did not mention that you could not walk up any steps at all. The Scottish room has two steps. The Indian room you were subsequently shown has none. I am... More

I loved the homey feel of the Craigadam. Celia, Richard and Nicollette were excellent hosts. The rooms have different themes and it makes for fun discussion around the large dinner table where all guests dine together. You almost feel like you are in the middle of some murder mystery or novel the way you get to interact with all the... More

My partner booked two nights at Craigadam as a summer treat for us - and somewhere warm and dry to come back to if we got wet (and we did!) while pootling about in a motorcycle & sidecar. Craigadam is comfortable and beautifully-appointed, and we found the staff particularly kind and obliging. We were offered a life-saving cup of tea... More

We stayed at the Craigadam a few months ago, We were informed that the lady who owns the hotel was away for a few days. The rooms were large and well furnished, the bar and drawing room were light and airy. The chef cooked us a superb meal and reccomended an excellent wine to go with it. However I have... More
