We booked Sunday lunch here as it was near to the venue for a wedding that we were attending. The food was excellent; we had the roast beef and the lamb's liver, both cooked to a very high standard. It was shame that we had to rush off, as it would have been lovely to have had time to relax,... More

We had a nice room well equipped with a walk in shower. Well away from the pub it was quiet our night (not sure about in the summer as the beer garden was outside the window). The food was wonderful in the evening and Kate was very friendly. Breakfast was home made and much better than a large hotel would... More

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I'm really sorry if I wasn't my usual bubbly self but happy that Kate looked after you. She see's her job here as part of her social life so she's always a pleasure to work with! More

This place is a very good value bed and breakfast. The room was nice, with modern facilities and a good shower room. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was superb. All in all, it was excellent value. We would return if in the area again.

Stayed here for 1 night ahead of a meeting and this place is a real find. Smart, well appointed room with great bathroom and a really comfortable bed. Dinner was really good - fresh scallops and Brixham plaice cooked perfectly and friendly service - would not stay anywhere else if I go back to this area

We stayed one night en route to Devon. Having read the reviews beforehand I had high expectations and wasn't disappointed. The room was very comfortable and spotless. There were even two chairs to relax in whilst supping the complimentary beers. Lots of thoughtful touches - two bath robes for example. The pub itself is old and cosy. It was packed... More

My first visit to the Masons Arms, but it was my wife's second and she was very impressed the first time so we decided to give it a go. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly. my wife had ham, egg and chips which looked and tasted lovely and my son had the fish which was also... More

We did not stay in hotel, but had dinner here. The food here is fantastic! Everyone in our family enjoyed their meal. The portions were large. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating and offered to serve starter dishes as main dishes. thank you!

Stayed on a Sunday evening in the depths of winter(last weekend) and was so happy here that there was no need to brave the cold as everything is under one roof. My room was great. Everything was spotless. It was very warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was smart with a powerful shower. The pub itself... More

I've stayed here three times now - always spotless comfortable rooms, the only complaint about the food is that the portions are too generous and its hard to manage three courses! After a good meal the sorbets are really lovely and refreshing.... Breakfasts are great !

Oh no that will never do. Either we will have to cut portions or you will have to get into training so you can eat more!! I am glad you enjoyed yourselves and hope to see you again soon, we won't make you have 3 courses but may be you could trot around the block to make more room.... More

8 of us stayed at the Mason's Arms for two nights to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and all had a great time. The food was outstanding (we decided to take the birthday cake back home with us and had desert instead!), the rooms spotless and the owners and staff very friendly. The atmosphere was casual and nothing seemed to... More
