If you need to be at the Max Planck Institute or the Technical University, Munchen then this is a great place to stay. Fairly quiet and great breakfast. Dinner is good too. The staff is very nice.

I was in Garching for work and preferred staying there rather than travelling down to Munich and didn't regret it. Nice and clean place. Beds are quite ok and the rooms are quite spacious. Good breakfast buffet. It's right on top of the subway between central Munich and the technical university (TUM), but you can't notice the subway at all when you're in the hotel.
