Whatever your holiday interest, be it walking, fishing, following the whisky trail, golf or just touring the beautiful Spey valley, you will find no better place to stay than Speyburn House with Lesley and Andrew Calzetti. You will undoubtedly be spoilt and come away a pound or two heavier - but it is a risk worth taking! The ambience is so... more

The fishing on the Spey was not the most productive but we were more than amply compensated by the warm welcome provided during our stay by the Calzetti family. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed a wholesome and beautifully served breakast each morning! And our spirits were uplifted at the end of each fishless day by the... more

We chose this B&B after looking at Hotels and other B&B's in the area, mainly because of the reviews. Lesley and her family are lovely. They are a couple who go the extra mile! Bath sheets, robes, and amongst other things (to numerous to mention), complimentary chocolate which my Husband thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of attention to detail is given by... more

This is simply the best B&B you could hope to find. We stayed two nights at Speyburn House in order to visit the local whisky distilleries. Situated in the quiet village of Archiestown, Speyside, Speyburn House makes for the perfect central base from which to visit Abelour, Macallan, Glenfiddich and other local whisky producers. Upon arrival we received a complimentary... more

Fantastic value, fabulous breakfasts, arguably the best 'Eggs Benedict' in Scotland. This is the second year that a colleague and I have stayed and it has just got better. Attention to detail, a warm cosy atmosphere and an eagerness to please and accommodate all needs make it a stay not to be forgotten. more

The weather may have been bitterly cold outside but the welcome inside was warm and friendly. When you come in from a cold day on the Spey it is essential to have a warm, cosy retreat with plenty of hot water, hot drinks and a comfortable bed. I found all of this and more in abundance at Speyburn. The breakfasts... more

Speyburn House and hostess Lesley Calzetti are amazing. First of all, if you are planning on doing any whisky tasting, this B&B is the perfect home base. Lesley and her family are warm and welcoming, immediately you feel as if you are staying with old friends. Her knowledge of the area and suggestions for dinner, day trips & distilleries to... more

We stayed at the Speyburn House February 14-17 2009 and had great time. Lesley was a wonderful person with great knowledge of the area and just a genuinely interesting person to talk to. Her family was very nice too. The rooms were comfortable and spacious especially for a B & B and had all amenities. Lesley was so accomodating you... more

Management response from
Lesley Calzetti, owner

We had the worst snow in 40 years and to be honest the roads were scary even for locals, so I do feel very bad for anyone used to left hand drive and the other side of the road. The country roads are normally fine but with the sheer voulme of snow much narrower than usual. I sent some photos...
