We Stazyed for 2 weeks and we loved the serenity and the Location of the Coral Point Lodge. It is located on top of the hill giving all rooms a wonderfull scenic view of shute harbour and the Whitsunday Islands. The harbour is within walking distance from the lodge to reach all ferries and cruise ships. It also has carports... more

After reading the reviews of resorts on the islands in the Whitsundays (at least the places we could afford), we decided we would stay on the main land and take a couple of day trips to the islands. Coral Point Lodge turned out to be a great place to do this. Since we were traveling with a 3 year old,... more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views from the balcony. You can have your breakfast watching the sea eagles and lorikeets flying by!.. Best to have your own transport, but even if you don't, Shute Harbour is a short taxi ride away. more

Fantastic views. Very clean room. Only complaint for our one night stay was the abundance of mosquitoes. We did not meet the owners since this was a prepaid stay. You either need a car or a taxi to get down the hill or for the drive to Airlie Beach. more

We stayed for two nights in August but these were not consecutive as we went on a trip in the middle of them. The hotel's owners, Brian and Eva, were very helpful and stored our luggage for us while we were on the trip. They also provided lots of information about the area and were willing to help in any... more

We arrived in Airlie Beach without reservations and a quick drive thru the town and we realized we DID NOT want to stay in the middle of a Daytona Beach Frat Party. The Rough Guide Australia gave this hotel as one of their favorite picks in the area and we can see why. It's out of town, but if you... more

If you want a noisy, busy, party town stay in Airlie Beach. If you want a quiet experience with a fantastic view of Shute Harbour, head out of Airlie to the Coral Point Lodge at Shute Harbour. I cannot say enough about our two night stay there. The place is absolutely beautiful, quiet, clean and peaceful but most of all... more

Over the last year we have booked in at all sorts of hotels - some five star - and I can safely say that this was one of the best places we have stayed at. The views on the advert really are the ones you get from your room. The place is a tranquil haven from the bustle and crowds... more

We saw this place in the lonely planet and of couse figured it was out of our budget as 3 backpackers doing the east coast of oz but we called anyway where the owner John couldnt have been more helpful and sorted us out with a room for what we would be paying in a dorm in a hostel and... more

We didn't want to stay on the main strip in Airlie Beach and so kept driving. Surprisingly, there is a hotel at the end of the road. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was very nice. Hardwood floor, beautiful views of the harbour. All for only $95 AUD more
