The Craigellachie was fantastic, the scenery is fantastic. Service was outstanding, the General Manager was attentive and welcoming. The food was amazing, the restaurant was full which is always a good sign especially when the majority appeared to be from the surrounding areas. My bedroom was beautiful, with a very comfy bed, and a seating area. The shower was powerful... more
The two of us went for a long weekend at The Craigellachie Hotel at the end of June. The area and setting of the hotel is in a very beautiful part of Scotland. The Hotel is stunning, from the minute we arrived till we left, all the staff were very attentive and could not have been more helpful The room... more
We stayed one night here with friends. We got a very warm greeting from the staff and the rooms were of a good standard. The hotel is in a very good location near Aberlour and the beautiful River Spey. A perfect location for walkers and fishing. The shower unit in the bathroom was one of the most powerful I have... more
This is a very classic, old school hotel. Very nice, but old. I can imagine it as a very busy place during hunting season and this would be a wonderful place to base expeditions out of. The main attraction for us was the famous Quaich Whisky Bar, which sadly turned out to be the only negative point of our stay. The Hotel is in a wonderful location surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a 2 minute walk from the... more
The Craigellachie hotel, with it's famous Quaich bar is a must visit destination for anyone with even a passing interest in Whisky. But I'm not sure that it's worth the cost. For an expensive hotel, there was no one to assist with bags. The first room we were put (235) in was right on the adjoining road and was incredibly... more
Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting familty and friends in the area. Hotel has a good reputation and is in a superb location but there is significant room for improvement. Had a huge room overlooking the river which was nice and clean, but the (twin single!) beds were impossible, lumpy, bumpy with polyester filled duvets & pillows. Hardly slept... more
