A wee gem in the scottish highlands. We stayed in the "Butt and Ben" and it may look like a a shed from the outside but when you get in it , it has accomadation to match the best hotels-Brilliant. The food also has to be one par with best restaurants/hotels and the friendly family service by Liz and Tony... more

Being our first trip overseas we relied on comments from trip advisor to find a B & B in the highlands of Scotland. We chose Grants for a three day stay and found them to exceed our expectations. Grants Restaurant is of the highest quality. The standard of the meals and wine was excellent. Our room although a little small... more

Tony and Liz describe Grants at Craigellachie as a Little Restaurant with Rooms, and it really is little, with just two rooms and four tables, though they have plans to expand slightly. The quality of the food that Tony prepares in the restaurant is what really makes the place special. Evening meals and breakfast were both fantastic, using the best... more

We were a bit disappointed with Grants, having read the reviews. I can't fault the comfort levels, or the attention to detail (great bathrobes, satellite TV, free bottles of water), the breakfast was great and the welcome was warm. It may sound picky to say that the location was a bit disappointing - although it's close to the loch, you... more

I am reluctant to give away the secret of Grant's, as I would like to keep this gem for myself. But as others have said - go there! From a warm welcome on arrival to a beautiful card thanking me for staying there, everything was ideal. The rooms are lovely, with swell amenities that made it special, such as Fairtrade... more

We stayed at Grants this year on 29th and 30th June. The double room was a little small but with the addition of all the luxuries one usually expects in a 4 star hotel the stay was wonderful. The dining room is cool and contemporary, the food exceptional. Breakfast was a masterpiece and dinner was an marvellous experience to be... more

Our two-day stay at Grants was simply the highlight of our trip around the Western highlands and we wished we had stayed longer. The little hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet hamlet right next to the loch, surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenery in Britain. It is also well situated for day trips to many sights in... more

Pulling up to the small house situated in front of a picturesque loch, the small house hides a lot. The rooms are fully kitted out, and immaculately clean. The food, however, is exceptional. I would think it is the main draw to this fantastic retreat; a truly special place. more

This place was one of the highlights of my 3 weeks and 10 lodgings in Scotland. The quality of everything, from the linens to Tony's AMAZING food was absolutely the highest. I can't say enough. I didn't get the oportunity to have dinner, but the breakfasts that Tony cooked especially for me just from talking about food with him a... more
