We have been to Lanciano twice this year and it is a beautiful place. The people are so friendly and although it is not a build up tourist area everyone made an effort to try and understand us.
We stayed in part of the old town of Lanchiano in the most beautiful B and B called La Giuggiola e Gli Angeli . It is more like an apartment than a B &B .We were met by Giuliano and his wife who looked after us so well. . Coffee and crossants were brought in every morning and the apartment was spotless and cleaned every day. There was a huge terrace to sit out on and have a glass of wine in the evening and yet we were only a minute away from the heart of the town. All this for only E40 a night eachJust below the B&B there is a little cafe . I cant remember the name but he had a place in piccadilly in London and his real homemade ice cream is to die for. The church of the Miracle of the Eucharist and the Cathedral are well worth a visit.
