Great place to stay! Ideally situated for exploring Hadrians Wall. Les is a wonderful host, kind and always helpful. He also prepares lovely meals. The breakfast is very nice and you don't want to miss the dinner and sweats! There is also an ample choice of local beers and spirits. The room was comfortable and clean. Les welcomes walkers, cyclists... More

We absolutely loved our stay here! Les is a great host, a very funny and entertaining guy, and he has done a very nice job restoring the old building. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we felt at home as soon as we sat down in the cosy lounge. We spent a very enjoyable evening chatting with Les who is... More

We can not say enough good things about Old Repeater Station. Please don't try to save money by missing the evening meal, Les is a wonderful host and apparently an accomplished chef. After our hardest day of hiking through rain, sleet and wind, there was never a more welcome stop than the hospitality Les provided to us at Old Repeater... More

We had a lovely stay at the Old Repeater. First impression was where had we come but Les was very welcoming and just what we needed for a little break. Breakfast was lovely, the beds were clean and the host was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely go back again.

We stopped here overnight before exploring Hadrians wall. Les, the owner, rang to confirm our booking and also offered to cook an evening meal if we wanted for our arrival. There was off road parking and it is easily reachable with great views and access to the Hadrian's Wall route. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and... More

Myself and my partner chose to stay here as we had a "smart box" voucher. We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful. Upon arrival Les was very welcoming and offered us drinks. The room was cold at first but soon warmed up. The room was small but that was to be expected as the old repeater station is small anyway. The... More

After the long grueling fourth day of our backpacking fundraiser across Hadrian's Wall, stopping at the Old Repeater Station was heaven on earth! Les is a legend. He let us camp in his front yard and greeted us at the door with tea and "almost homemade" cake. Les has an amazing set up going on here. The lounge is full... More

We have travelled passed the Old Repeater Station many times on the way to visit family further North. This was out first stop here, and what a delight it was. Les was most welcoming to us and knowledgeable about the region. The breakfast was delicious. This is a great place to stay when exploring Hadrian's Wall or other parts of... More
