Excellent country pub, very good and in a really good location, food was very good, went with family and wheel chair access was a bit tricky, but worth the effort, will seriously consider staying there on my next trip

We stayed at The Watermans Arms for 4 nights in early March. Having stayed there on several times in the past we knew what to expect. Our room was big and had every facility to make us feel at home. The food was excellent and the breakfast was one of the best that we have experienced. All the staff were... More

We visited for two nights to have a break between Christmas and New Year. The place is as idyllic as it looks. Great bar with log fire, we ate in the bar both nights and had really excellent food from a well thought out menu which not only had the best soups and pies but other local specials. The room... We ate here while staying in the area in September. Lovely pub, excellent beer and cider, good service and a huge plate full of food. On the whole we would have preferred less food and better quality. We opted for the 'Can't Decide ? Slice of each joint' Sunday Lunch and to be fair there did seem to be a... More

the first time I stayed here I was the only guest and I reckon the Chef was away for the night too ! but the room was splendid and so was the Breakfast on the morn so I gave it another chance and was proved right . Maybe sticking to the local food helped but their beef casserole with dumplings... More

Just want to thank Rob and his team for a lovely stay on the positive side . Warm Welcome , log fires , good food and real ales on the not so positive , drinks a little pricey and little disorganised . but this added to the character . There are some new members of the team that are lacking... More

This is not a review about accommodation. Been to the watermans many times for a beer as the location is fantastic in the summer, i really struggle to think of a nicer place. In the winter they always have a log fire going and the atmosphere in excellent. Extremely dog friendly they even have their own character (usually curled up... More

Just passing and stopped for an evening meal. Not haute cusine, just honest pub food, well presented and in good portions, with a decent beers and friendly staff. I cannot comment on accommodation, but the place is certainly in a lovely setting at the head of an inlet.
