Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Nice staff, good breakfast, decent rooms, good location, and the value! $12 for a double. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for a novice monks ceremony going past the guesthouse as well. If you have a chance to participate, they are tons of fun!

The Golden Kalaw Inn is as basic as they come. Simple rooms with little more space than to fit a bed. Bathrooms could use updating and the hot water was fairly non-existent.
