Great place, right on the Peme River in N.H. The owners operate the place too. Friendly, accomodating & very scenic. This was my 2nd time staying there. I live in N.C. and am planning a trip next fall with several friends to stay there. more

I have stayed multiple times now at the Gilcrest, once in late fall and 3-4 times in the winter as a home base for Skiing/Boarding in the area. We have stayed at the Gilcrest Cottages and Motel for three years and have always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The owners have always been courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable regarding places to visit, restaurants, etc. The location is convenient to all of the White Mountain area and the Great North Woods of NH. more

We stayed in cottage #3 the Flume. The cabin is very cute. Although it is small, it is still cozy and comfortable, and plenty of room for 2 adults. The bathroom was re-modeled and very nice. We stayed at Gilcrest Cottages while we attended the NH Highland Games. The location is close to Loon Mountain, yet out of the busy tourist town. Gary & Julie are the perfect hosts: friendly , welcoming, and yet efficient. They provide acomfortable, clean place to relax...and right on the Pemigewasett River! Book early for the big weekends. more
