While having expected something with a bit more of a boutique-ie vibe from the website, I really appreciated the down to earth hospitality and home-style accommodation. i really enjoyed my two night stay here. It is a really well run small quiet hotel which reflects where it is. i found my room very nice and the public areas were very welcoming. i enjoyed the evening meal in the dining room and although i was the only guest eating that night everything was done perfectly for me.... more

If you are a Marriott/Crowne Plaza/Hyatt/Sheraton type, then this place is maybe not for you. I fall into that category, but this place is NICE. It is spotlessly clean, the decor is well, georgian, attention to detail very well observed and it is generally a nice typical Country House hotel.
