Read some of the reciews on here and was a bit concerned as we were travelling with a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Flight was on time and we got a taxi at the airport to the resort. This was most of our holiday money at once as it is around 50 Euros to make the journey.... more

Me and my boyfriend (21 and 23) booked this holiday hoping for relaxation and enjoyment. We wanted somewhere away from the hustle and bustle but still with things to do. After reading some really good comments I was excited! We got there and immediately noticed the drive from the main road to the actual complex was quite a way. But... more

Beautifully designed, park-like bungalow village settled in the still largely unspoilt countryside near Tavira. Clean, simple houses - somewhat spartan though, but I like that. In low season (october-march) this is a very calm place, very good for making bicycle trips and walks around the Ria Formosa natural reserve, along the beach or in the beautiful hinterland. Ideal for bird... more

The bad stuff: Poor quality room, 2 single beds despite a double being requested, dangerous heater, cracked bath and tiling, warm water for only 10 minutes a day, about 15 feral cats bothering us for scraps every 2 minutes, light bulbs which didnt work, €5 an hour for tennis, €6 an hour for the internet. Having said all that, I'm... more

Booked our holiday, through 'On The Beach'. What a nightmare. the accomodation awas terrible, it could best be described as a Portugese Pontins ,before the refurb. apartment was dark, cupboards were fitted with chains and padlocks,a set of step ladders were in the bedroom, the bathroom tiles were chipped and dirty, beds were child size and bedding tatty. The kitchen cupboards had been... more

Big complex and our appartment was ok, though could have done with a lettle cleaning before we arrived. Good location right next to a spectacular beach. We could have spent all our time there. Not touristy at all. Close enough to drive into Spain and we did that one day. Great holiday. more

We booked a stay at Pedras a week before we went; we hadn't heard of it before, it was just a last minute decision booked via a website. We then saw the other reviews here, most of which are terrible, and so were very anxious as to what we would find when we arrived. We were very very pleasantly suprised;... more

Hi, me and my colleagues spent some days in pedras d'el Rei in our last school year and we found it very good. We didn't like the beach, it was a bit dirty, so we spent most of the time in the pool and we went out at night to a disco in tavira, it was a week to remember.... more

My mother had just died and I wanted to take my Dad somewhere for 10 days for a change of scene that would offer new sights but not be too frenetic. The taxi from the airport was very quick!! but we got there safely. The resort is beautifully laid out and as we had arrived before our apartment was ready... more
